What Does OxygenIT Cost? Every Published Price

Every price OxygenIT publishes is on this page. Managed IT comes in four bands priced by the size of your team, from $750 a month for a team of up to ten. The band price is the price. There is no per user charge on top and no headcount reconciliation at the end of the month. Every client also holds SMB1001 Bronze as a minimum, so the practical entry point is $1,275 a month for a team of ten: $750 for Remote IT Support plus $525 for Bronze SMB1001. A cyber security audit is $4,500 to $10,000. A vulnerability assessment is about $1,500 per 10 staff. AI governance is $3,997 to $9,997 a month. SMB1001 certification runs $525 a month at Bronze to $1,425 a month at Gold. A virtual CIO is $2,000 a day. The 15-Minute Founder Call, the discovery call that follows it and the scoping work that produces your quote are all free. Audits and assessments are charged.
Service Price Unit What it buys
The 15-Minute Founder Call No charge the way in Fifteen minutes with Tim. If it looks like a fit, a 45-minute discovery call follows, then the scoping work that sizes the job and produces your quote. All three are free. Charging starts if you commission an audit or an assessment, both priced below.
Remote IT Support from $750 per month Remote helpdesk in New Zealand business hours, operating system and application patching, managed antivirus or baseline EDR, backup monitoring, starters and leavers. Onsite attendance is charged separately at $180 an hour. Priced by the band your team size falls into, see the table below.
Managed IT Support from $1,200 per month Everything in Remote, plus managed EDR, MFA enforcement, email filtering and security awareness training. Onsite attendance is included from this band up, at 1 hour per 10 users per month. Priced by the band your team size falls into, see the table below.
Fully Managed IT from $3,600 per month Everything in Managed, plus a vCIO cadence, advanced security operations such as SOC monitoring or MDR, and compliance and governance work. Priced by the band your team size falls into, see the table below.
Complete IT from $5,800 per month The whole IT function, including hardware as a service. Available on a 36 month term only. Priced by the band your team size falls into, see the table below.
Cyber security audit $4,500 to $10,000 per audit The IT and Cyber Assessment: your gaps mapped against a framework, ranked by exposure, with a customised remediation proposal. This is the advisory review, not the technical testing. Remediation work is quoted separately. That range covers New Zealand small and mid-sized businesses, up to roughly 70 staff. Enterprise audits run by the large consultancies cost several times more.
Vulnerability assessment about $1,500 per 10 staff A vulnerability scan across your network and endpoints, a penetration test component, and an IT review. This is the technical testing, not the advisory review. A 30-user business lands at about $4,500.
AI governance $3,997 to $9,997 per month Our most common engagement is the 90 Day AI Governance Project at $4,997 a month, which is where most 20 to 100 staff organisations land.
SMB1001 certification, Bronze from $525 per month The baseline controls the SMB1001 framework requires. Price shown is for a 10 user business. You can start at Bronze and move up later.
SMB1001 certification, Gold from $1,425 per month The level most businesses target when a cyber insurer or a larger customer wants proof of security posture. Price shown is for a 10 user business.
Virtual CIO $2,000 per day Most engagements are a 3 year strategic roadmap. The rate is the same for a 20-person firm and a 200-person organisation, what changes is the number of days. No call-out fee.

Rated 4.8 from 44 Google reviews. ISO 27001 and ISO 42001 certified. 98 percent client retention, 2022 to 2025. You have 90 days to change your mind. If you are not happy in the first 90 days, for any reason you like, you get your money back.

Free, and so are the discovery call and the scoping work that follow it. Every price above is published. What it costs you depends on sites, documentation and whether a compliance framework is in scope.

What Managed IT Costs, by Team Size

Four bands. Find your headcount in the left column and read across. That figure is your monthly price. It is not a rate to multiply by your headcount, and it does not change if you hire one more person inside the same band.

The managed IT services pricing page works through the same bands in detail, including term lengths, what the monthly fee does not cover, and a worked example for a team of 25.

Fifteen minutes with Tim, no obligation. It is the first step towards a quote rather than a guess.

Onboarding, Projects, Onsite and After Hours

  • Onboarding. One month’s fee on Remote IT Support and Managed IT Support. Two months’ fee on Fully Managed IT and Complete IT. It takes about that long as well, which is why it is priced that way.
  • Getting out. Every Managed IT and SMB1001 agreement carries the same two ways out before you are a year in: the first 90 days are money back, no reason required, then a fee-free break at nine months on 90 days notice. The longest you can be committed to us against your will is 12 months, not 36. On Complete IT the hardware and licences run to the end of the term, because we have already committed to them.
  • Projects. From $1,440 a day, up to $3,000 a day where third party specialists are involved.
  • Onsite attendance. $180 an hour on Remote IT Support. Included from Managed IT Support up, at 1 hour per 10 users per month. Unused hours bank for 6 months and can be spent on project work.
  • After hours. Our cover is New Zealand business hours. Extended cover is an add-on from $600 a month for a team of up to ten. We do not offer 24/7 cover and we will not claim we do.
  • Hardware. Supplied at a published margin of 23 percent.
  • Microsoft licences. Supplied at a published margin of 23 percent.

Why two services both land on $4,500. A cyber security audit at its most common size and a vulnerability assessment for a 30-user business both come to $4,500. They are different services with different outcomes, not two names for one thing. The audit is the advisory review: gaps mapped against a framework, ranked by exposure, with a remediation proposal. The vulnerability assessment is the technical testing: the scan, the penetration test component and the IT review. Businesses buy one, the other, or both.

What the 15-Minute Founder Call Is, and Why It Is Free

The 15-Minute Founder Call is the way in. It is fifteen minutes with Tim, and it is not something you buy. If it looks like a fit, a 45-minute discovery call follows, and then the scoping work that tells us the real scope of your environment so the number we quote is a price rather than a guess. All three are free. You pay nothing until you have the proposal in front of you. Charging starts only if you go on to commission an audit or an assessment, both of which are priced in the table above.

That is also why quotes vary between businesses of the same headcount. Staff count tells us very little. Number of sites, how much is undocumented, whether infrastructure is cloud or on-premises or mixed, and whether a compliance framework is in scope all move the number far more than the number of people.

Four quick questions first. If it is not a fit, we will tell you on the call.

What Is Never Included in These Prices

  • Remediation work. Every assessment price covers finding and reporting. Fixing what is found is quoted separately, once you know what needs doing.
  • Hardware and licences. Not part of the monthly band price. Bought through us at a published margin of 23 percent on both hardware and Microsoft licences, or bought direct by you.
  • Call-out fees. There are none, on any service on this page.
  • Onboarding. Charged separately, at one month’s fee on Remote and Managed and two months’ fee on Fully Managed and Complete.
  • Financing. We do not offer it on assessment or governance work.

Who We Do Not Take On

We do not take residential clients, and we do not take businesses with fewer than 5 employees for assessment work. Managed IT is priced from a team of ten. A smaller team is welcome, it is simply priced as ten. Below those thresholds the fixed cost of monitoring, patching and security tooling does not spread far enough to be worth either side’s while, and we would rather say so on the first call than sell a plan that does not fit. More on how we decide in our licensing, insurance and credentials.
